Sony a7C Firmware Update 2.00 adds the USB Streaming and Animal Eye AF for video. As always, there are a few other other goodies in the mix that aren’t mentioned so I highly recommend always keeping firmware up to date.

• Adds the USB Streaming function to allow connection using a USB cable to a PC for live streaming and online communication with high-quality video and audio. Note: When connecting to a device with a USB Type-C port, use a commercially available USB cable or terminal conversion adaptor.
• Makes the Eye AF feature compatible with animals when recording a movie.
• Improves the operational stability of the camera. Note: Refer to the Help Guide for details on all updated functions.

How to Install the Sony Camera Driver

Close all programs currently running on your computer.
Double-click the Camera_Driver_2102a.dmg file you downloaded. Do not connect the camera at this point.
NOTE: If you have connected the camera to a computer, disconnect it before following the procedure.
The Sony Camera Driver Installer is expanded.
Double-click the SonyCameraDriver.pkg icon.
The installer screen opens. Proceed as instructed.
