Now that Sony a6300 cameras are shipping, I’m getting lots of questions about Raw file support.
Whenever shooting with a newly released camera, I recommend shooting Raw + Jpeg until your Image Processing Software of choice supports the RAW files.

I don’t see the lens i purchased for my new a6300 listed as a supported lens (Sony E 16-70). Do I need to confirm the lens is supported as well as the software before i decide which to purchase from the above 5 listed ?
Lightroom and Photoshop have their own lens profiles for that lens.
Capture One reads Sony’s lens profiles if enabled in-camera.
I personally prefer the way Lightroom and Photoshop allow you to adjust lens profiles (I generally turn off the vignetting correction) but it’s really personal preference.
I have updated Adobe Camera Raw but am still unable to open Sony A6300 raw files
Are you using Photoshop CC?
