‘See Her Be Her’ Baseball Documentary Premieres TONIGHT on MLB Network

Published: October 27, 2024

Tune in TONIGHT to the MLB Network at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT for television premiere of ‘See Her Be Her’ documentary about women’s baseball around the globe directed and produced by my multi-talented fellow Sony Artisan Jean Fruth!

The film follows the lives of seven women baseball stars from around the globe who are at the pinnacle of their game. In the intense battle for the World Cup Championship, they want victory – for themselves, for their team, for their country, and for the sheer love of the game – but their greatest triumph is the path that they are blazing for the future generations of female players. ‘See Her Be Her’ shatters a variety of stereotypes, as the seven players – through perseverance and resilience – push the boundaries of what’s possible both on and off the field

In addition to directing and producing the film, Jean also traveled the globe, shooting on three continents and assembling the over 250 strikingly beautiful photos to produce a lovely coffee table book that’s the perfect gift to inspire young women about what they can achieve. Profiles of pioneers like Lois Youngen, players like Kelsie Whitmore and Ayami Sato, and such women of influence as Justine Siegal and Veronica Alvarez shine a light on both the constant struggle for equality and the joyful passion for baseball.
