Hey Brian
When is Sony going to come out with a middle range lens like the 24-105 canon L lens.? Really missing that in their line!
It’s been suggested.
I bought a brand new Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III last year. Now, I am struggling as to whether I should trade it in for Sony FE 16-35 f/2.8 GM to obtain a little bit more of angel of view and to relieve my shoulders, or wait for Sony FE 12-24mm f/4 G and see. Headache”¦
Two great FE wide zooms is not a bad headache to have…I shot with bot FE wide zooms for half a day and love them both. Sony G Master 16-35 F 2.8 GM is really super sharp from infinity down to minimum focus distance – but sweet if you need wider the FE 12-24mm offers really wide focal range and small size when compared to the much heftier Canon EF 11-24 F4
Looking forward to your side-by-side comparison of the images shot with these lenses. I have shot with Canon lenses every since I started photography, but I recently switched to the Sony A7rII with a Metabones adaptor. I would like to upgrade my 16-35, but I am waiting to see image quality comparisons between the two lenses.
