With not much info yet I was wondering if there would be a light that would use the front threads like some other macro lenses. I only ask because of what I have read about using f/22. I have the 90mm and have use on few things but mostly portraits Looks like a great price and not knowing when you may want a good Macro.
The use of teleconverters is a great idea like the old days of using film lenses with 300mm etc. from a distance but getting the enlargement needed. I saw the magnification on YouTube fast video thing. But the Laowa 25mm f/2.8 2.5-5x may grab some people with a price around $300, Before the release of the Sony there were some post of it on YouTube, but no OSS and at max you will need a tripod, da, all Macro work has been on a tripod, I think!
Reviews showing hand holding captures even with some wind outdoors.
Then the AstrHori 25mm F2.8 2X-5X Ultra Macro Lens Full Frame Manual Focus $249
or the Laowa 25mm
Let wars begin!
I’ll stick with Sony!
Hello Ed, the FE 100mm F2.8 Macro GM has a 67mm front thread -vs- 62mm front thread on the FE 90mm F2.8 Macro G. Other than that, the new lens is better in every respect than the original G lens, which was quite a fine lens for its time.
Thank You, Yes I see a lot of great reviews of more show than talk and images that get closer and clearer/sharper and always show the corners also the same. I will enjoy it.
