Sony a7SII Firmware Update 2.20 adds support for the new Sony FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander and Sony FA-WRR1 Wireless Radio Receiver.
This utility updates the ILCE-7SM2 camera firmware to version 2.20 and provides the following benefits:

My camera died after this update
Updates are a breeze if you follow ALL the steps in the linked Bulletproof Guide to Sony Camera Firmware Updates.
In the mean time try removing the battery for 30 seconds to see if it resets your camera.
