10 thoughts on “Surprise! Viltrox Announces Three Sony FE Lenses”
Do you know where these lenses will be available for purchase? And, BTW, are they any good?
They have not announced shipping date. In terms of quality, I’d put them in the “budget” category.
Also see my comment in the 12 Sony wish list. You call it a “budget” category, as a advanced amateur photographer / pro sailor, light weight and small is a must. Airline companies do’nt like heavy photo cases as carry on luggage! But I like neat and sharp pictures. Budget is a must I think, otherwise a big group of users are being let down. I hope retailers in Europe will sell these “budget” class lenses to keep the “amateurs” happy. Love to see a review / comparision of these “budget” lenses for the “not pro shooters” in the world. Also hope that retailers worldwide will sell them!
Viltrox lenses may not be not available from photo retailers but they should be available from Amazon and eBay. Once they’re available, I will definitely post a link.
I wonder why B+H for example wouldn’t carry them? Too cheap?t
Just announced and B&H is closed for the Holiday
at a closer look, the 85mm af lens is actually marked as FX-mount. seems not a sony lens. any idea of what this is?
It’s available in Sony E and Fuji FX mount
Great deals for smaller budget people
It’s not necessarily a trend setting sort of lens, but I thought it was really good overall. It has more of a vintage logic and optical quality to it with a few modern bells and whistles thrown in for good measure. For the price, I think it’s a pretty good value for an 85mm.
