  1. Thank You SOOO! Much again for the heads up!! This lens is the greatest already, glad it could be made a little better. I use on night tours at the zoo on a A7iii, just awesome. Like I was in a far off land using a camera trap and no flash!

    1. Sony engineers are always quite vague in their firmware update notes, but hopefully you’ll find the improvements useful, Ed.

  2. Sony still using it’s horrible update process. Which, OF COURSE, doesn’t work on Apple silicon Macs because no one buys Apple products. I’m stuck with Sony but I’ve no doubt Canon will eventually bury Sony in mirrorless.

    1. Sony actually uses EXACTLY the same process for firmware updates that Apple uses for iOS and MacOS updates.

      Download > Verify > Install

      Apple favors this process as well, but they make it very difficult for third parties to do the same thing.
