For customers who have been using the Imaging Edge Mobile app:
• Updated cameras will no longer be able to connect to the Imaging Edge Mobile app. After updating the camera, install the Creators’ App.

  1. Mine 2.01 so a update to 2.02 should be smooth. So what is the deal with the creators app and pairing the camera with the Creators’ App. So the Creators’ App is for sending to the cloud not for editing! And the creators app is not on the Camera but phone or pad.
I love the camera but all this extra is a little too much. I mean I understand using the Imaging Edge for the pixel shift function to get your final image. But having a Creators app on a device just to send images to the cloud or whatever. I guess I am a little behind being just a hobbyist. But Pros get things done for the cameras. Now I wonder if an update for the A7SM3 is coming or even the A1.

    1. Yes, that’s correct. Sony has announced that major firmware updates will be coming this spring for Alpha 1 and a7S III. Bug fixes for a7R V don’t change that in any way.

  2. Thanks for the heads up and have to practice the install carefully even though very simple! You are doing a great service for us all. Glad in the beginning I got your paper version of your books.
