Does the Phase-Detection AF work with A7.
A7 has always had Phase-Detection AF
Which camera/s will benefit from this phase detection AF?
Thank you.
This update adds PDAF support for G Master lenses to cameras with Phase Detection.
I thought with the firmware update just added Phase Detection AF for third party lenses, like Canon would be improved. But I don’t see any difference. Thanks for your help.
Firmware Update strictly adds support for G Master lenses. Phase Detection AF support refers GM lenses (with applicable cameras)

As of today the link to A7RII/Mac leads to an error page at Sony Support.

FW 3.20 is now available for a7RII and a7SII.
I have been using the 24-70 Gmaster with the Sony a7r2 and am having great issues with camera shake. It doesn’t feel stabalized. Could it have to do with the fact that I’m using an old firmware ?
Image Stabilization should not require this firmware update – though I recommend it for AF. Make sure you have SteadyShot set correctly in the menu.
