Nauticam has added Sony a7RII support to their NA-A7II Underwater Housings. Any housings manufactured after August 24, 2015 (SN A151096 and higher) will have this redesigned mode dial assembly installed at the factory.
Nauticam NA-A7II
Launched in March of this year, NA-A7II has been extremely well received. Small and light for travel, yet ergonomically superb, this is one of the finest Nauticam designs to date. Full details are available at here.
Locking Mode Dial Support
In an effort to continue to improve the ergonomics of the a7 systems, Sony has updated the mode dial to a locking design with a7RII. This addition has forced a minor change to the housing design allowing mode dial control support.
17455 – NA-A7II Upgrade Kit
Nauticam has also designed a user-installable upgrade kit, so current NA-A7II owners can update the mode dial control. This kit is available now from Nauticam.
The Sony a7RII Camera
The line between high resolution and high performance is certainly blurred. Compared to the original a7R, Sony a7RII has faster continuous shooting, and faster autofocus with phase-detection points. It also adds in-body image stabilization, as well as 4K motion capture with internal recording at 100Mbps. Higher bit rate recording is available with an external recorder such as Atomos Shogun in the Nauticam Shogun Housing.
