The first rule of Apple is that vendors don’t talk about Apple. Many of us have known for years that iPhone uses Sony camera sensors, yet you haven’t heard that from Sony. But now it’s been confirmed by Apple CEO Tim Cook himself while visiting Sony’s secretive camera sensor facility in Kumamoto.

The next iPhone 15 is expected to feature a new Sony sensor and 9to5Mac additionally reports rumors “the next iPhone 15 is also expected to feature a periscope lens for much longer optical zoom – likely around 10x zoom. However, this feature may be limited to the iPhone 15 Pro Max.”
