Sony has issued a partial recall of early production FE 35mm F1.4 GM lenses to re-secure the ornament plate. This explains delivery delays of the Sony 35mm F1.4 GM lens which allowed Sony to fix the issue before the current batch of lenses shipped to retailers.
Sony has recently become aware that the ornament plate for some of the E-mount lens FE 35mm F1.4 GM “SEL35F14GM” for Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera may come off. However, this does not affect the optic performance of the lens.
Sony will offer free inspection and free of charge repairs for the affected lenses. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

E-mount lens FE 35mm F1.4 GM “SEL35F14GM” for Interchangeable Lens Digital Alpha Cameras.
