Is there any Steady ON/OFF switch? I like to use it with a7s.
Menu > Camera Settings 7 > Steadyshot > On/Off
You can also program this to a Custom Button or into the Function Menu
Is there a lock on the lens so that it does not creep out when not shooting?
Shot with the FE 24-240 today – it doesn’t need a lens lock – the lens doesn’t creep one bit.
Did you have a chance to try out this new lens by Sony? Do you recommend it?
I am thinking to get it with Sony 7a ii body. Thank you!
It’s good for what it is and it’s comparable to other all-in-one-zooms on the market.
I just purchased the 24-240mm and A7RII and I am seeing loose lens mount buyer review issues for the 24-240 on the Sony Store at store.sony.com. Several reviewers report this issue but it is not clear which Sony camera they are mounting the 24-240mm on. My lens comes tomorrow and the camera in August (maybe). I don’t want to hold onto the lens waiting for the camera past the 30 day return period and then find out that the lens wobbles on the camera mount. Can anyone tell me if they are using that lens on the A7R and experiencing the problem; or for that matter not experiencing the problem. As you can tell, I am a little nervous about this and would appreciate any inputs. I contacted Sony and they “know nothing”.
Thanks
I own that lens and have had no issues at all with looseness in the lens mount – or in any other Sony E-mount lenses.
