Sony a6000 series users have asked for premium Sony APS-C lenses to match those offered by FujiFilm. While it’s taken longer than I’d like, Sony has finally responded with a pair of Sony APS-C E-Mount lenses that take advantage the latest Sony mirrorless lens technology including Linear Drive XF Autofocus motors.

Nice comparison. Could you please give a brief comparison with Sony Zeiss 16-70? Obviously we know the result, but I’d like to know how much better this new lens over the Zeiss to justify the price gap.

As you’d expect, the 2.8 is larger. If you want F2.8, Sony E 16-55mm f/2.8 G is the way to go. If you prefer compact and can live with F4, Sony E 16-70mm F4 ZA OSS is a great choice.
