DxOMark has awarded Sony a7 III a 96 Point Sensor Score, landing it right between higher-priced Sony a7R III (100 Point Sensor Score) and a9 (92 Point Sensor Score) mirrorless cameras.
“Sony A7 III achieves an overall DxOMark sensor score of 96 points and ranks in the top five best Sony sensors we’ve tested, just behind the full-frame Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1R II fixed-lens compact camera, and the Sony A7R II. A fourth-place finish among Sony sensors puts it ahead of the high-end a9, which features a similar 24MP sensor and comes in at 92 points.”
In the sub-$2000 Fullframe comparison, Sony a7 III (96 Point Sensor Score), tops comparably-priced Canon 6D II (85 Point Sensor Score) and Nikon D750 (93 Point Sensor Score).

Brian,
Has Adobe updated the raw file converted yet to lightroom and photoshop? I’m seriously considering now to migrate to Sony. This camera and 7riii would make a amazing combo out in the field.
Not yet – but it should be in the next update.
