Here’s a helpful video from Matt Granger showing how to record what you see in through your Sony EVF using an Atomos Ninja Flame 7″ 4K HDMI Recording Monitor + Manfrotto 492LCD Micro Ball Head.

Matt’s using Sony a7R III, but it will work with all Sony cameras with an HDMI port. Even if you’ve tried this technique before, it’s worth watching since Matt explains a number of quirks of HDMI video recording.
