  1. I can not download a complete copy Camera raw 9.8 from the adobe site I have tried over 40 times on different days on different PC’s and the download just stops at a different points. Is there an alternate place to find a copy?
I have left notes for Adobe so far no response.

    1. There is no need to download the update.

Just open Creative Cloud Updater > Apps > Select ‘Camera Raw CC’ and click Update.

If you don’t have Photoshop CC – you don’t get this update.

For Lightroom CC and Lightroom 6 users – just update the Lightroom to CC 2015.8 or 6.8

  2. You’re not understanding Brian, the Camera RAW 9.8 download here will NOT complete for anyone. They have a server issue and have not fixed it.

Updating with the updater SUCKS and doesn’t work for a ton of people, so this file is the only option. If you can download all 313MB of it, PLEASE upload it and link it for others and you’ll be a hero.

    1. The updater works great – BUT it only works IF have the current Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC or Lightroom 6. Earlier versions of Photoshop and Lightroom do NOT get Camera Raw updates.

    1. That’s right. Photoshop CS6 was discontinued 4 years ago. It no longer gets Camera Raw updates.

Only current Adobe software (Photoshop CC, Lightroom CC and Lightroom 6) receive updates.

  3. Howdy Brian
How about releasing the new camerea’s for for camera raw cs6, i do not want to rent anything, just need the sorftway to reconise my new camera.

    1. Unfortunately that’s not gonna happen. Adobe no longer updates Photoshop CS6 – only Photoshop CC.

      There are a couple alternatives:

    2. Adobe Cloud Photography Plan at $9.99/month
    3. Buy Lightroom 6
    4. Run Raws thru Adobe DNG Converter
  4. I just upgraded to the A99ii. I’ve been using the A77 and A100 where I haven’t had any problems viewing the raw files. I’m disappointed that right now I can’t even open or view the raw files from my A99ii. I’ve tried updated my really old Lightroom 5.4 but it keeps failing. I’ve posted on the Adobe forum and hope to find out if I can even update my version but wondered if answer would be faster here. I really don’t want to go to the monthly subscription option.
Do you know if LR 5.4 can be upgraded and are there any programs where I can view my a99ii raw files on computer? I’m used to going into my File Explorer, clicking image then scrolling through to see what I want to keep and what to delete before I move to lightroom.
