So Brian does this mean I sell my M mount and run out to get this?? Have you played with it yet… or the 12 or 10
I wouldn’t sell your M-mount version if your happy with it. The 12&10mm E-mount do not exist yet.
Brian, is this optically identical to the M mount version, even identical coatings? I ask b/c I tried the M mount version last year on an infrared modified A7R and while I loved the lens, it had a hotspot problem. Would jump at opportunity to get a hotspot free model though.
Supposedly their are minor optical adjustments meant to optimize the lens for the thickness of Sony’s cover glass meant to improve optical performance on a7 series cameras in that regard. I’m not certain that would translate on an IR modified camera.
