Sony Announces Wireless TTL+HSS Flash Control System

Sony has announced the development of their FA-WRC1M wireless flash commander and FA-WRR1 wireless radio receiver featuring a maximum range of 100 feet (30 meters). Designed for compatibility with Sony Alpha interchangeable cameras and external flash units, the new lighting system will include the FA-WRC1M wireless radio commander and FA-WRR1 wireless radio receiver.

Sony’s new radio controlled system will allow for an extremely flexible wireless flash shooting experience with exceptional performance in all types of shooting conditions. The system can control a maximum of 15 separate flash units in up to 5 groups of flashes. While using the system, photographers have the ability to control the exposure of connected flash units either manually or automatically depending on preference. Additionally, the new lighting control system will be capable of flash sync speeds of up to 1/250th of a second, along with High Speed Sync (HSS).

Sony FA-WRR1 wireless radio receivers are compatible with: Sony HVL-F20M, HVL-F32M, HVL-F43M & HVL-F60M flashes.

Sony Wireless TTL+HSS Flash Control system will be available early this summer at authorized retailers. Pricing is not yet announced. A prototype of the new system is on display in Sony’s booth at WPPI 2016.

    1. The Sony triggers are much better made than Flashpoint. While I wish the we’re cheaper – you get what you pay for. It is possible to get HSS at 1/8000 – just be aware you’re really clipping the flash output at that speed.

    Actually i need one ASAP am a photographer from Nigeria and i av two alpha 57 sony cameras.pls even if its a used one i wont mind it at a low rate though dont really have cash like that
