Here’s a look at the first nine Sigma Fullframe E-mount Art Lenses. First up are the 14mm F1.8, 20mm F1.4, 24mm F1.4, 35mm F1.4, 50mm F1.4, 85mm F1.4 & 135mm F1.8 DG Art Lenses. They’ll be joined later this year by the 70mm F2.8 DG Macro and 105mm F1.4 DG Art Lenses.
According to the manufacturer, the new Sony E-mount models will feature a newly developed control algorithm that optimizes the autofocus drive and maximizes the data transmission speed. In addition, these lenses will be compatible with Sony’s Continuous AF (AF-C) and high-speed autofocus, which are not addressed by Sigma Mount Converter MC-11.

I used to love my vintage Canon FD 24mm f/1.4 on my old A7R for environment portraiture. But tired of the MF and softness wide open. If the Sigma 24mm f/1.4 is anywhere close to price of Sigmas (Canon mount) version of the same lens. I am in 100%
Why are the e-mount lenses longer?
Because the E-mount cameras are thinner than DSLRs.
Could you give an estimated price range that the Sigma 70 macro might come in at? I realize it would only be a guess and price has not been announced, but I’m very curious about where this lens will come in price-wise… Thank you!
My guess is that the 70mm Macro Art will be in the range of the lower priced Art lenses on this list ($849-$999)
