  1. Is there no receiver available? Version1 had receivers which allowed the use of sony flashes. Canon and nikon versions do have these receivers available for version2….Doest this mean that I cant use the odin2 with my sony flashes??

      1. Thanks for the reply Brian…
Well, at least its compatible with my old receivers. Still, I was hoping to get rid of these stupid adapters. I dont understand phottix here…feels somehow half-baked solution. I guess theyre forcing us to buy into the Mitros+ flashes this way…I love my sony flashes, the head twisting design is simply amazing and I simply wont replace them…

  2. Hi Brian, Just got an Odin II for Sony for my A7R2.
The test button on the Odin fires the receiver/flash, but activating the shutter does not. (Shutter speed well below 1/200th).
I have tried either “fill flash’ or ‘wireless’ setting in the camera menu but still no success. Flash Comp is set to zero. I have tried Manual Mode and Aperture Priority Mode.
Is there a particular setting within the camera I should be using before I contact Phottix?
I have made sure the Odin is firmly in the hot shoe and locked it down.
There are no firmware updates on the Phottix website as yet.
    Thank you.

  3. Hi Brian, I have been using Phottix Mitros+ flashes with my A7R2 for some time now. I recently decided to sell off my aging Broncolor gear and invest in the Phottix Indra 500 heads and battery system. I bought a new Odin II transmitter to replace my older version 1.

Occasionally, with both the Odin I and now the Odin II, the camera tells me that this accessory is not designed to be used with this camera and will not work (or something to that effect). I then take off the transmitter, say some prayers, and re-attach it. Most of the time it works, bit sometimes it does not.

Have you experience this? Can you share any wisdom? thanks!
