I had not heard of Iridient until your post. The ability to handle Sony pixel shift files caught my eye as I have just started exploring that process. Hard to find any current and relevant info on the web re Iridient’s alleged superior RAW processing and superior detail as far as A7r3 files go. I am aware of the free trial available, but I am curious if you have had any hands on with Iridient and possible comments before I sink some number of hours into a trial.
They’ve been around quite a while. It’s strictly Raw Processing software – no catalog like Lightroom.
I understand that it is strictly RAW processing. No way I am abandoning LR as the catalog and my standard workflow include an external MIDI controller. The Sony Edge software does not win any awards IMO for its rather rough implementation, but it works (re Pixel shifting). Guess I will have to do the trial to see if it is a justified cost. Thanks for getting back.
